What Will the Analyst / Administrative Assistant Undertake?

Reporting to the Operations Manager (OM), the Analyst / Administrative Assistant provides analytical and administrative support to the operations team at the MABC office, with specific responsibilities in data analysis, clerical tasks, and assisting in daily office needs. The Analyst / Administrative Assistant supports the MABC in statistical reporting, benchmarking, developing and generating queries, preparing and compiling reports and technical documents utilizing various software and tools.

As the Analyst / Administrative Assistant, your duties include interpreting raw data and analyzing the results using statistical techniques in order to provide informational reports. You will develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality in order to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

You will also provide confidential administrative and secretarial assistance and research support to the Operations Manager and Executive Director, as well as others as needed. You will maintain the Operations Manager’s appointment calendar, coordinate meetings, processes and prioritizes information, screens, triages and acts upon requests and inquiries, including confidential and sensitive information.

What Skills, Competencies and Experience Does the Analyst / Administrative Assistant Possess?

This is a busy, challenging and engaging opportunity for an experienced administrator with an interest in data analytics.  As the ideal candidate, you are a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of office management systems and procedures. You have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and you are adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. With a high comfort level with computer systems, software, databases, and other technical tools you are easily able to create detailed reports.

You possess an education in Business Administration or a related field with proven related experience in administration and or analytics, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Location and Status

This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension. The MABC office is located in Vancouver with a possibility for the person in this role to work solely in the Vancouver office, or to work a hybrid model of working from home and working in the office. This role can also be a part-time (.8 FTE) position or full-time. Please indicate your preference for status and location in your letter of introduction.
