Our client, the Midwives Association of BC is looking for their next Data Analytics Coordinator, based in Vancouver, BC.

The Midwives Association of BC (MABC) is the professional association for midwives in BC and is registered under the Societies Act. The MABC’s objectives are to:

  • Promote the profession of midwifery within the province of British Columbia.

  • Advocate for the ongoing development and enhancement of midwifery services.

  • Provide continuing education opportunities for its members.

  • Provide professional services to its midwives, including liability insurance and representation in matters of remuneration and benefits.

  • Support midwifery education programs which are provincially available, broad based, accessible and affordable.

  • Represent the interests of midwives and the profession of midwifery.

Location and Status

This is a permanent position, working a hybrid model of working from home and working in the Vancouver MABC office. This role can also be a part-time (.8 FTE) position or full-time. Please indicate your preference for status and location in your letter of introduction.

What Will the Data Analytics Coordinator Undertake?

Reporting to the Operations Director (OD), the Data Analytics Coordinator provides analytical and administrative support to the operations team at the MABC office. This position supports the MABC in statistical reporting, benchmarking, developing and generating queries, preparing and compiling reports and technical documents utilizing various software and tools.

As the Data Analytics Coordinator, your duties include interpreting raw data and analyzing the results using statistical techniques to provide informational reports. You will develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

What Skills, Competencies and Experience Does the Data Analysis Coordinator Possess?

This is a busy, challenging and engaging opportunity for an experienced administrator with an interest in data analytics.  As the ideal candidate, you are a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of office management systems and procedures. You have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and you are adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. With a high comfort level with computer systems, software, databases, and other technical tools you are easily able to create detailed reports. 

You possess an education in Data Analysis or a related field with proven related experience, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
