The Sunshine Coast of BC, long touted as a 180 KM stretch of paradise, gains its rich heritage from the original inhabitants – the Coast Salish people. It is a contemporary hub that balances abundant, natural beauty and a surplus of adventure with growing industry sectors in technology, retail and tourism. Located just a 40-minute ferry away from Vancouver, “The Coast” also counts on forestry, cultural arts, and fishing to support the area.

The Sunshine Coast Foundation

The Sunshine Coast Foundation is seeking a value driven and passionate leader who can further their reputation and impact as a respected and valuable contributor to the quality of life on the lower Sunshine Coast. The Foundation offers donors the opportunity to increase their impact by pooling the gifts received and carefully investing them. Each year, they use the earnings on investments to provide funding to local charities. They help to connect donors with the causes that inspire them and the charities that are having the greatest positive impact. They compile current and relevant research in helping local organizations and decision-makers understand the issues and trends facing the Sunshine Coast community.

The Sunshine Coast Foundation is a member of Community Foundations of Canada, a network of nearly 200 foundations supporting their local communities from coast to coast to coast. Please visit sunshinecoastfoundation.org for more information.
