Pomegranate Community Midwives is seeking a professional Medical Office Assistant who is interested in a permanent part time position of approximately 30 hours per week. 

Previous experience in a Midwifery clinic, or similar, an asset.

·         Initial interview to be done in outdoor setting with masks and physical distancing, rain or shine

·         Saturday/Sunday Off

What Will Be Expected From You?

·         Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a high level of accuracy in a stressful environment

·         Incredible attention to detail

·         Ability to set and maintain boundaries

·         Ability to follow procedures and protocols as provided in training

·         Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to a variety of personalities and deal with difficult people/situations

·         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality both within and outside of your work environment

·         Proven ability to work individually with minimal supervision within a team environment

·         Excellent ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing (additional languages an asset)

·         Comfortability with open and direct communication

·         Excellent computer/tech skills, previous experience with an EMR an asset

·         Ability to work at the office M-F, with a flexible schedule, and ability to work 40 hrs/wk to cover vacation days as needed

·         Ability to work Statutory Holidays (we are open on all BC Stats except Dec 25)

·         Desire for a long-term permanent part-time position

·         Compliance with the clinic scent-free policy

·         Compliance with all pandemic health orders, restrictions and guidance as stipulated by the BC Provincial Health Officer
