About The Job

Caboo is looking for a brilliant Regional Sales Manager to join our team and help us skyrocket in 2021 and the future!  You are energetic, passionate, and eager to nurture and grow an existing account base in Natural and Conventional grocery channels.  Ideally, you will have a background in the cpg industry and have extensive relationships and knowledge of accounts on the west coast, and beyond.

What Will the Regional Sales Manager Undertake?

You’ll work on

·         Establishing retail specific promotional plans for all key customers

·         Present new and exciting items to retail and distributor customer base in assigned region

·         Monitor market and retailer activity to develop the cost-effective strategies to drive volume and profitability through increased account penetration and promotion.

·         Plan for, participate in and support trade shows, trade event and major retailer events.

You are:

·         Optimistic + Results Focused: someone who is excited about the challenge of hitting sales targets by winning new accounts and someone you can nurture existing accounts.  You are a natural at making sales calls, engaging in conversations, and quickly building trusted relationships with prospects. You have deep understanding of distributor, broker, and buyer relationships, and can manage broker and distributor performance to achieve growth objectives.  

·         Organized + Ambitious: you have the ability to keep yourself and others organized. You easily manage multiple accounts across multiple channels. You are meticulous when it comes to planning and implementing promotions and managing retailers review calendars, so we never miss an opportunity.  You will work closely with the VP of Sales to develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly sales volume and trade spend plans.

·         Analytically capable: you won’t shy away from qualitative and quantitative research. You can put together a decent spreadsheet and help us gather valuable insight; whether monitoring retailer activity to develop the most cost-effective strategies to drive volume and profitability, to evaluating promotion spending and new distribution proformas.

·         Solution Focused + “get it done” mentality: you are a constant source of positivity, who when faced with a challenge is focused on finding a way through any roadblocks. No project is too small or menial. You don’t wait for others to get it done, you have natural ability to take ownership and are a natural self-starter.

What Skills, Competencies and Experience Does the Regional Sales Manager Possess?

You enjoy and have the ability to:

·         Build sales and excel at opening relationships with warm prospects

·         Build relationships and trust quickly

·         Make calls and have mastered the game of follow-up

·         Communicate succinctly and effectively both verbally and in writing

·         You are positive, personable and persistent in your approach

·         You have the ability to produce results independently while promoting a positive team environment

·         You thrive in a goal setting environment where setting and hitting goals monthly and quarterly motivates you

·         You are able to synthesize data from many different places, think critically to make the best decisions and find solutions to problems

Your skills:

·         4-6 years of sales experience in the CPG or related industry

·         Experience with broker management

·         Proven track record of having developed customer relationships and key account responsibility

·         Strong leadership and team building skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Syndicated data analysis

·         Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment

Salary Information: $60,000 - $80,000 per year + Bonus (Salary is negotiable depending on experience)
