A.E.W. Limited Partnership (A.E.W. LP) is seeking an experienced Engagement Services Lead for a permanent, full-time position. The work location for this position is flexible - A.EW. LP has offices in Kamloops and Lytton
A.E.W. LP was formed in 2017 by Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council member communities to carry out “on the ground” work related to archaeology, the environment and wildlife protection. This work has been made necessary by activities of others within the Nlaka’pamux homeland including transportation, mining, forestry, oil and gas, and utilities projects. The Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council is not opposed to development within our homeland but developments and activities must be consistent with Nlaka’pamux title and rights. A.E.W. LP is guided by the fundamental Nlaka’pamux law: Take care of the land and the land will take care of you.
A.E.W. LP is a vehicle created to ensure work of the highest standard, controlled by the Nlaka’pamux, is done to protect and promote Nlaka’pamux title and rights.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, your primary duties will include liaising with NNTC’s governing team to ensure the proper flow of information, communications and coordination in responding to land and resource activities in the Nlaka’pamux homeland. You will establish project priorities based on NNTC needs and develop project schedules as well as ensure AEW work is done to the highest standard to support the exercising of Nlaka’pamux jurisdiction and the protection and advancement of Nlaka’pamux title and rights.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
· · Liaise with NNTC to gather direction on activities, work plans and priorities needing to be executed
· Complete desktop reviews and determine review requirements for dissemination to Senior Project Manager
· Support ideas for enhancing AEW’s archaeology, environment and wildlife services
· Compile technical reports and complete preliminary assessment reports with input from Technical Leads and archaeology project managers
· Support the expansion of AEW’s business service offerings through engagement with proponents operating in Nlaka’pamux homeland
· Participate in annual budget planning
· In consultation with NNTC, aid in development of a software application to streamline flow of technical information and data from NNTC to AEW to support technical reviews. In short term, establish a system for sharing project data with multidisciplinary project teams
· Report results of technical reviews and recommendations to NNTC in accordance with NNTC’s Resource and Land Use Decision-Making Policy and Process
· Supports advancement of Nlaka’pamux jurisdiction by making recommendations for new policies, plans, and standards over and above Federal and Provincial regulations and standards

· Degree in Environmental Science (or related field)
· Minimum 5 years working experience in an environmental position
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
· Good management and leadership skills
· Demonstrate innovative problem-solving and strong analytical skills that can be applied to resolving complex situations and increase efficiencies
· Strong ability to prioritize and develop timelines to fit organizational demands
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong ability to build relationships, manage stress and work exceptionally well under pressure
· High level of proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
· Experience in organizing and overseeing work of external contractors
· Previous experience working with Indigenous Communities is considered an asset
· Possess a current and valid Canadian driver’s licence
