Senior Project Manager
A.E.W. Limited Partnership (A.E.W. LP) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a permanent, full-time position. The work location for this position is flexible - A.EW. LP has offices in Kamloops and Lytton
A.E.W. LP was formed in 2017 by Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council member communities to carry out “on the ground” work related to archaeology, the environment and wildlife protection. This work has been made necessary by activities of others within the Nlaka’pamux homeland including transportation, mining, forestry, oil and gas, and utilities projects. The Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council is not opposed to development within our homeland but developments and activities must be consistent with Nlaka’pamux title and rights. A.E.W. LP is guided by the fundamental Nlaka’pamux law: Take care of the land and the land will take care of you.
A.E.W. LP is a vehicle created to ensure work of the highest standard, controlled by the Nlaka’pamux, is done to protect and promote Nlaka’pamux title and rights.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, your primary duties will include planning and designating project resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, preparing change orders and keeping clients informed throughout the process. You will prepare proposals, manage budgets and schedules, oversee field programs and crew members, and ultimately be responsible for data and report quality as well as client satisfaction. Supporting the coordination and prioritization of field crews and resources based on project priorities, your main responsibility will be to support the protection and advancement of Nlaka’pamux title and rights.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
· Develop cost estimates and scope of work for approval
· In consultation with Environmental Services Lead (ESL) operationalize workplans including working with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the technical work is getting done in accordance with Nlaka’pamux laws, policies, plans and standards
· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
· Define resourcing and contractual needs and disseminate to administrative team
· Monitor project progress and costing against budgets
· Use learnings to evaluate future project costing
· Manage changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs
· Manage relationships with clients and sub-consultants
· Commitment to the protection and enhancement of Nlaka’pamux title and rights
· Working in partnership with members of the Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council to ensure consistency of approaches and methodologies

· · Completion of a university degree in environmental sciences or related field – or a combination of relevant education, training and experience deemed equivalent
· Minimum ten (10) years’ direct experience in managing projects
· Possess a current and valid Canadian Driver’s licence
· High degree of technical aptitude
· Excellent organizational skills (prioritizing, time management, record keeping, follow up)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Previous experience working with Indigenous Communities is considered an asset
· Strong team player, self-motivated and proactive thinker
· Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat
Other key qualities you possess include exceptional attention to detail and accuracy as well as a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, manage conflicting priorities, and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
