Our client, Tsain-Ko Development Corporation, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to assume a range of Human Resource responsibilities while working out of their Sechelt, BC office.

Tsain-Ko Development Corporation (TKDC) is an innovative, collaborative and passionate organization engaged in the economic development of the shíshálh (Sechelt) and Sunshine Coast areas. The organization is growing quickly and embarking on a number of new business opportunities. They are seeking an HR Manager to support the staff and leadership teams.

What Will the HR Manager Undertake?

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as the Human Resources Manager you will perform a range of Human Resources-related duties that include assisting with ensuring the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Tsain-Ko Group of Companies’ Human Resources plans and programs. You will be called upon to handle employee-related services, ensure regulatory compliance, recruitment, human resources planning, HR policy and practice as well as training & development.

Your general duties and tasks are:

  • HR Administration and Policy Administration

  • Employee and Interpersonal Relations

  • Recruitment

  • Orientation and Training

  • Performance Management

  • HR Projects

  • Back up for the Health and Safety Coordinator

 

What Skills, Competencies and Experience Does the HR Manager Possess?

As the ideal candidate, you have demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, people management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration. You bring strong communication and computer skills and you are organized – you don’t let any details slip through the cracks. You have a proven track record of working in a generalist role within HR, preferably four years + in an indigenous environment. You possess cultural awareness and sensitivity as well as an HR focused degree or diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
